Val Quentin: A Year-Round Community
For many years, Val Quentin was seen as a “summer village” — a place where families came for weekends at the lake and left again when the season changed. While those roots are an important part of our identity, things are changing.
1. There is a noticeable Population Shift
-
More families, retirees, and professionals are choosing to live in Val Quentin full-time.
-
Permanent residency has grown significantly in the last few years.
2. Changing Needs
- With more people here year-round, our needs are different: road maintenance, snow removal, traffic safety, community services, and emergency access
- Bylaws built for a summer village don’t always serve a year-round community.
3. Shared Benefits
- Updates ensure safety, fairness, and quality of life for everyone.
- Stronger bylaws protect our environment, waterfront, and neighborhood character.
- Year-round planning helps both permanent and seasonal residents enjoy Val Quentin.
Val Quentin is more than a summer village — it’s a place we proudly call home, all year long.
