Community Peace Officer (CPO) Services – Summer Village of Val Quentin

The Summer Village of Val Quentin is served by Alberta Beach Community Peace Officers (CPOs) who help maintain safety, order, and compliance within the community. CPOs work collaboratively with the RCMP, municipal administration, and residents to ensure local bylaws and select provincial laws are followed. Their focus is on education, prevention, and enforcement to support a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

CPO responsibilities include:

  • Enforcing municipal bylaws (such as parking, noise, animal control, and unsightly premises).

  • Conducting traffic safety patrols and speed enforcement.

  • Assisting during emergencies, special events, or public safety situations.

  • Providing education and awareness about community standards.

  • Responding to resident concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
