We are thrilled to partner with Fire Rescue International (FRI) and our valued community members for this exciting event!   FireSmart Community Cleanup – May 30, 2026

Date: Saturday, May 30, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Location: Meet at Cantin Park Gazebo

Residents are encouraged to clean up your yards, removing waste such as dry branches, leaves, and other combustible materials for safe disposal. By removing these fuels, we can help protect our homes and community from potential wildfires.

What to Bring:

  • Gloves and appropriate outdoor clothing
  • Tools (rakes, pruners, etc.) if you plan to volunteer to assist with cleanup

What’s Provided:

  • A large Disposal bin will be onsite at Burton Park Boat Launch  – acceptable items include small appliances, furniture – ie. coffee tables, small building materials. 
  • A trailer for organics will be travelling around throughout the village between 9 am and noon – acceptable items include trees, tree branches, stumps, grass and yard waste. 
  • You and your family do your own yard cleanup…. volunteers will help with disposal
  • Have your yard waste ready for disposal (only organics in trailer. 

This is a great opportunity to take action, meet your neighbors, and make our community safer.
